Captain Jack: Tell me about Jessica Rex.

Jessica Rex: My family moved to Massachusetts. I have an older brother and a younger sister and moved there when I was 6 or 7 years old. I have a lot of family up there; my dad has a huge family. My aunt had a big guest house that we lived in. I went to middle school and high school there. And then, when I was 18, my parents decided to move back down to South Florida. Jessica: I was 16 or 17. It was this guy named Cody in my high school and I was a freshman. He was a senior so you know how that goes. He was really popular, he was really cute. Dee Siren Talks with Captain Jack

So I’ve had 2 neck surgeries and 2 surgical fusions. I do, unfortunately, have permanent nerve damage on the left side of my body. It’s something that causes headaches. That’s the main problem. I also have some strange nerve damage which causes me to not directly feel things on my left side. But, mainly, it’s the headaches. I’ve dealt with it for 5 years and it’s mainly about finding the correct doctors and the right way to treat it because there’s no cure. I have something called Occipital Neuralgia, which is damage to the occipital nerves in the back of your head. Basically, my neck is fused. The first time it didn’t work; the second time it did. They took part of my hip bone out and put it in my neck. But it did work, thank goodness, so my neck is better; it’s just that the nerves are damaged. They have to go in and do a procedure every 9 months that kills the nerves so they don’t flare up and I don’t get really bad headaches. They’re like a migraine but they are from the back of the head instead of the front of the head. It’s controlled through medication and it’s controlled through these weird injections. It’ll have to be that way for the rest of my life. It controls the pain and I don’t have to take pain medication, which is awesome. I found a great specialist and he knows what he’s doing. Honestly, I didn’t think I would be able to come back.

At the time I was hurt, we had just expanded our website and our network. I have my own website at deesiren.com. That’s been around since 2010. I first met Alissa when a Twitter fan suggested we do an interview. She lives in Florida and works closely with Cory Chase. Romi Rain Talks with Captain Jack

Romi is just on a meteoric rise through the porn industry. Every year, she has something new going on and is always busy! Just in 2019, she hosted the AVN awards, took advanced education courses and, of course, continued to shoot hot content both for herself and other studios. Romi has a special place in my heart, we talked during her first year in the business and her first AVN was my first AVN. In fact, she was the first porn actress I met at the show. Captain Jack: I haven’t talked to you since you hosted the awards. How did you like it?

Romi Rain: Oh my God! It feels like yesterday in some ways and, at the same time, it’s the end of November and I’m passing the torch. But it’s still one of my absolute favorite memories. It was sooo much fun. Bailey (Rayne) and I were so excited. We were really on the same page. ‘OK, we can do this! We’ve got this! If anything goes wrong or anybody gets tripped up, we just smile and keep going! Can’t stop, won’t stop!’ It was so fun and I think that’s a big part of it, if you have a partner and are in sync with them and on the same page, you just have a good time. If we’re having a good time, the audience will have a good time. It was cute. And I swear, after Bailey and I went out for the opening of the show, people laughed and we didn’t make a mistake, we high fived and we hugged and said, ‘OK, it’s going to be a good show!’ We almost had a relief moment. I’ll give you a little nugget that very few people know. There was a moment after that, a couple segments later, where the comedian, Esther Ku, was supposed to come out with Bailey and I. It was being filmed and one of the dressing rooms is upstairs and the one Bailey and I are using is downstairs right behind the stage. We took that one so we could make quick changes and not fuck around. But Esther took the upstairs dressing room and, unfortunately because things were happening so fast, missed one of her changing cues. So Bailey and I had to run out on stage and wing it. We were doing a little skit that all 3 of us had to do together. So we had to, on the fly, change a few words around and change a 3-person skit to a 2-person skit. And it worked! Nobody realized that was supposed to happen. It would have been easy to mess up a line but we got through it! So there was actually a mistake during the show but nobody realized it. We hosted the Oscars of Porn and, in my mind, it couldn’t have gone better!

CJ: How much input did you have on the skits or the monologue?

Romi: We had a little bit, actually. We were there and joking around but there were writers but how we said things and we could change certain words around. They were very receptive. But there were writers!

CJ: I know you were on a high and were honored to host it, did you ever have a chance either before or during the awards to take a deep breath and just appreciate it?

Romi: Yes and no. I really got to enjoy and milk it. I would be lying if I said otherwise. They give you a good amount of time which is really cool. It was announced in mid-summer and there were promo shoots and things kept trickling out. And when I got to the hotel, I didn’t realize how much decorations there would be! My face was on a poker table; there was a giant banner outside…in a lot of ways, it was a pretty incredible experience. I was in the bathrooms, I was on billboards. Who would have thunk? I’ve never won an AVN award and I, somehow, hosted the show! My face was everywhere at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. It was wild! That’s another reason that I really wanted to deliver! I really did get to enjoy it. I tried to milk it for all it was worth. (laughs) It was more than I thought it would be so it would be unfair to say I didn’t enjoy it. Than to see it on TV! It really was a year-long experience.

CJ: You are taking advanced education classes. Tell me about that.

Romi: I just completed 25 hours of classroom for sex education certification. Actually, after the next week, I have to do a verbal Skype quiz and then a written quiz in the next 2 days. Then I will be a certified sex educator. I really wanted to do it because I already do panels and speaks and interviews whenever I can. I do think it matters that sex workers and adult entertainers speak for themselves and speak for their own industries. And I just wanted my words to hold a little more weight and to matter more. I never want there to be people in a room and a sex worker in the room and have other people speak for us. I just really wanted to do it. It was just for me.

CJ: What’s new shooting-wise in 2019?

Romi: It’s been wild. 2019 was busier than 2018. I went to Italy and feature danced for 2 weeks straight; I went to Canada and worked with Naked News for a week and I’m going back next week again; I’ve been traveling more and shooting a lot more of my own content even to the point where I’ve been employing a lot of people in the industry which has been super cool. That’s really taken off and, to be honest, it’s been the biggest thing financially that’s really grown is content creation. On top of that, I signed up for being Cam4’s newest brand ambassador which is really cool because I started off as a cam girl besides being an exotic dancer. That’s another amazing thing to do that you can do anytime and anywhere! It’s another way for me to feel really in control of my content and my money. It’s been a fantastic year.

CJ: So you’re the Cam4 brand ambassador, what does that all entail?

Romi: It just means that I spread the word and share my experiences and try to make the site run even a little bit better and more appealing to models like myself. I’ve been a camgirl for almost as long as I’ve been in adult entertainment. It’s a really great thing for anybody to be doing. I think porn stars have been camming more than ever in the last few years. I think Cam4 is a great site to do it on. They’re all-inclusive and their token conversion is higher than any other cam site. They’re bigger overseas and are trying to expand in the American market. They’re a great cam site; a little underrated, I think.

CJ: How often do you cam yourself?

Romi: I’m going to be webcamming for Cam4 at least 3 times a month in between doing everything else. It’s a non-exclusive contract in terms of who I’m allowed to work for. I can still shoot for other porn companies or myself or whoever wants to shoot me. I just have to make sure that I have time for all of it!

CJ: Is that the first time you went to Italy?

Romi: Yes! It was so exciting! I went to Milan and Rome and Florence. I was also in Venice but didn’t get a chance to spend any time there. It was pretty incredible. I went to Verona as well and took a little Romeo and Juliet tour. It was really cool. I rarely get to be a tourist.

CJ: What is the most memorable trip you’ve taken in your life?

Romi: I really loved that London trip a few years back. I keep itching to go back. I only traveled to Italy and Canada in the best year. I still really want to go to Costa Rica and Australia. It’s hard to say. Italy is amazing and Canada was fun too, although a little chilly.  I think if I had to choose between the two, Italy wins in terms of travel. (laughs)

CJ: Fans want to know about an update on a possible double anal or gangbang?

Romi: They’re never off the table. If I was going to do it soon, I might do it for my own stuff. It’s really fun shooting for ManyVids or OnlyFans. I’ve been shooting a lot more for them in the past two years than I ever did. I think fans are really enjoying it because it’s a little more private. But I hate when people don’t drive well like they don’t know how to merge or they don’t respect the rules of the road. Things like that.

CJ: What’s your guilty pleasure?

Romi: I hate to say but being just a little hermit crab. I’m so busy sometimes if I can be home for a day and a half and not leave the house, I can do it. It’s almost kind of bad. I will order Post Mates two or three times and never leave. It’s kind of amazing to just curl up and watch 6 hours of Netflix in bed. I think you need it sometimes to recharge those batteries.

CJ: Do you get recognized in public?

Romi: More than I think I should. I’ve been surprised…I’ve been out with no make-up, hair pulled back and people want to talk to me! I have to be careful, it’s interesting. Nowadays, not that I think I’m “so popular”, but there’s a pretty big possibility that if I go out looking cute with make up on, at least a few people will recognize me if I’m in a crowded place. It’s kind of another reason that I’m a little bit of a hermit when I have days off. I’m flattered by the attention and know it’s a reflection of my hard work, but it is important to not always feel like you have to be ‘on’ and prepared for photos all the time.

CJ: Dogs or cats?

Romi: I love dogs in general. I love a good trained dog. They’re amazing. But I travel too much and have too much of an awkward schedule so it’s impossible and I wouldn’t make a good dog parent so I’ve always been a cat person. I’ve always had a cat in the house ever since I was a kid. Cats are so sexy in nature. I feel if a guy doesn’t love cats, he doesn’t understand women. You have to be careful of that.

CJ: Favorite food?

Romi: Anything sweet or anything rich like spaghetti or meat or chicken or mashed potatoes. For drinks, I love sweet drinks. I either drink water or juice or something sweet. I can only drink sweet alcohol. Yes, I am one of those girly drink people. I can never drink a shot. I’m not the cool vodka soda girl or dirty martini, it’s so gross to me. No matter what anybody in the industry says, there is no science to dating as an adult performer. I have heard horror story relationships of people dating within the industry just as much as out, hell you see most of that unfold on Twitter which I think is worse! I try to keep all my personal business in that realm private. It really depends on the person, compatibility and trust.

CJ: Favorite feature on a guy?

Romi: Sense of humor, you have to be able to laugh. It helps if you like the same foods because if you strongly disagree on restaurants, you’d be surprised at how much of an issue that could be.

CJ: Favorite feature on a girl?

Romi: A nice smile. I think that’s really great. Eyes are always a great thing to. Women are so beautiful.

We’ve been pretty consistent friends ever since.  Also, Laura Desiree, she’s not in the porn side of the adult industry but she is a host and traveling interviewer for Naked News who is on all the industry red carpets and her and I have gotten pretty close in recent months with my own hosting for Naked News in Canada and her and I are doing a fun project together that we are going to release and talk about as early as 2020.

CJ: 5 years from now, where do you see yourself professionally and personally?

Romi: Good question. I’ve love to have a bigger, awesome house. I want to have this big shoot house where I’d barely have to leave. Invite people over whenever I want to shoot. I think that’d be fantastic. Have a cam room, have your own office, have a couple shoot rooms. The way content is going right now, I can do half of that from my own place. So expanding a little bit further while hardly leaving your house. That’s the sign of true success, right? (laughs)

Of course, more travel when I desire to. I’d love to do something more of a traveling sexy lifestyle blog vibe for my YouTube channel. Another big thing I’ve been quietly talking and thinking about for years is that I definitely want my book featured and released before the five-year mark. There’s a lot about my past and recent present that I don’t openly discuss and I’d really love to share my story very honestly and hopefully give a little advice along the way. I would want my book to be something of a half “revealing autobiography” half “adult performer handbook/cheat sheet” that I feel like this industry really doesn’t have enough of. I’ve done pretty much everything you can do as an adult entertainer and sex worker over the past 12 years and I’m definitely not trying to slow down!

Romi: Yes. It depends on what they are but they have to be of professional quality.

Syren has been in the industry for a decade plus and she just celebrated a milestone birthday! And she’s still going strong! It has been almost 6 years since our last interview so it was overdue for us to catch up! Captain Jack: You recently celebrated your 50^th birthday and you’re still going strong! You look fantastic!

Syren de Mer: Thank you. Genetics, where I live; being in Seattle where there’s higher humidity, but I think most of it has to do with genetics. And I try to live a low stress life and that probably plays a part in it too.

CJ: You mentioned how you and your husband were in the swinging lifestyle and that’s how you got into porn. Were you very sexual before you met your husband? Or did he bring it out of you?

Syren: That’s really an interesting question. I was somewhat promiscuous when I was younger. My mom tells me that I kissed in the back of the school bus when I was 5 years old. I played kissing games in elementary school. My first boy/girl party was in 5^th grade but I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 15. Yes, I started young but didn’t go crazy until later. Syren: I am really shy. (laughs) I am shy in large groups so you will never, ever, ever, ever see my publicly speaking. Small groups, I’m fine. That’s all good and, at AVN, the convention part, I don’t consider that a large group because that’s basically still one-on-one. One person comes up to talk to you then another person or a few people. If I’m ever put on stage, it would be difficult for me. I don’t have anxiety, I’m just quiet. CJ: How long have you been in the industry now?

Syren: Since ’06.

CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?

Syren: It was just because I was a fan of mythology, specifically Greek Mythology. The ‘Syren’ part fit my sexuality and my sexual appetite. When my husband and I would host monthly gangbangs, I would be going and going and going and going until the guys “died” and then I was still wanting more. ‘Syren’ kind of fit and it was just one of those things where it popped in my head. CJ: What kind of music do you like?

Syren: I am completely eclectic. It all totally depends on my mood. Magdalene St. Michaels  Talks with Captain Jack

Magdalene is a veteran adult performer who got into the industry at a later date in life. Way later. She joined the industry at 49 and is still performing! And, believe me, she still looks great! Get to know this veteran of the blue screen!

Captain Jack: You entered the industry in 2007. Tell me about Magdalene before that. What led you to this life in porn?.

Magdalene St. Michaels: I was born on the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea. I was born to British parents; my dad was stationed there in the British Royal Marines. I was born in 1957. We were there for 6 months and then went back to England. We traveled a bit because he was in the Marines and then he became a Navy Seal. We went back to England when I was around 11. It was a small town and the nearest big town was Plymouth. I worked there for about 5 years after school then went to London for a couple of years. I ended up moving to Los Angeles because my mother went on a vacation and she met somebody in New York. So she moved to LA and that’s how I came here. I was 23 at the time. While I was growing up, I was involved in amateur dramatics and the theatre, so singing dancing, acting from about 12-19. When I came here, I did many, many types of jobs. One of the major things I did around 1983, I joined the Screen Actors Guild and at the same time, I was in a relationship with an actor. I was doing a lot of extra work on movies and television. A good 5 years, steady. Then everything kind of changed. I joined AFTRA as well, one was for TV, one was for movies. Eventually, they merged and I still pay my dues to this day. I ended up having small roles in 3 or 4 movies. I also worked in stores, a lot of temp work, I worked in a clothing store and ended up working for a social club. I got married in 1995 and went away from that. I have Fiber Milaga and it affected my sleep and my energy levels. My husband was traveling for work a lot.

CJ: Why did you decide to get into the adult industry?

Magdalene: My husband is involved in music and he was doing something in Vegas around the New Year. We had gone to Vegas around 2005 and my niece was visiting from England. At that time, the Adult Expo was the first week of January. I noticed that everybody at that time knew Ron Jeremy. I never really watched porn at all and I saw him with a couple of young girls. We hailed a cab and he told us they have the Expo there every year. So in 2006, we ended up buying tickets for the 2007 Expo. We bought these 3-day tickets. Vegas has no clocks and we are both night owls. We went to the Venetian with the intention of going to the show. It ran 9-5 or something and it was the last day so we decided to go. We had like an hour and, at the time, the Expo was really, really big. My husband suggested we start at the back because they start loading stuff from the back. He had spotted the sign for Girlfriends Films and we started there. Dan O’Connell had a tiny booth and he had been doing movies for 5 years. We walked over and I was wearing a really nice corset top with jeans and boots and, as he’s packing up his stuff, he looked up with a big grin on his face and said, ‘Hi! Are you a model?’ I didn’t quite know what that term meant except in mainstream and I told him I did a little bit when I was younger. He said, ‘Well, I’ve been looking for this MILF for the last 3 days!’ He explained what he did and asked if I had ever been with a woman. I had actually been with 3 different women. I told him I had studied acting and told him my background and we talked about how I liked kissing a lot. He told me that’s what they do with a lot of kissing and touching. He asked me if that would be something I’d be interested in and I told him, ‘Yes!’ Here I was, 49-years old and I filled out my paperwork and I fudged my age because I didn’t want to put down ‘49’. One of them happened to be Samantha Ryan and the other was Lena Nichole. Samantha wasn’t available so we went with Lena. He always told me that it was his favorite movie. I shot it in March of 2007. Usually, I’m nervous in front of a large group of people but I found it so easy to take my clothes off and make love to someone. It was so natural to me!

What was interesting was all these different changes were going on in my life. Prior to when Dan discovered me, I was a blonde before going back to being a redhead, and I had a hysterectomy in 2005 so I put on a little bit of weight. I had some surgery and got my boobs redone. Mary Magdalene, when it came to a stage name, that was the first thing I thought of. I didn’t care what the majority of people think. Then, Dan O’Connell was the one who said I needed a last name. Then, right up the coast from where I grew up in England, the very last county. There’s a little island off the coast and it’s called St. Michaels Mount and it’s beautiful. So that’s how I chose my stage name! What’s interesting is, when the tide goes in, you can only reach it by rowboat. But when the tide goes out, there’s a path to it that you can walk on.

CJ: You were in a major release last year, Confessions of A Sinful Nun 2 by Sweetheart Video.

Magdalene: What happened is that a few of my fans followed me and also Nina Hartley. They were tweeting to companies about having us both in a scene together. I thought that nobody would cast 2 60-year olds in the same scene. But then I received a text from Ricky Greenwood who shoots for Mile High, and he told me he was doing a sequel to Confessions of A Sinful Nun. He said he had a push to get a scene between myself and Nina. He said he had scene my work and I would make a good Mother Superior but Nina already had that role. So he put me in charge of another convent. He explained the movie and how our characters are. He sent me the script and the movie got delayed but he put me in another of his films, A Woman’s Promise. I was running a conversion therapy place when I try to turn gay girls straight. I had a lot of dialogue in that one and that was my first experience with Ricky. Around the same time, Nica Noelle had contacted me asking me to do her first picture for Lust Cinema from Barcelona Spain because they were trying to expand into the American market. It was called The Widow and I play a professor. My husband had fallen sick and I take care of him until I lose him. After he died, I went back to teaching and had a relationship with a student. That was my second best role with the Confessions role being my best. At the end of the movie, Nina is supposed to die in my arms and I’m supposed to see the devil visually behind her head and just scream! Ricky changed it at the last minute because it was kind of cheesy. We did the scene and she died in my arms and I said, ‘I love you’ and then I started crying. It wasn’t something I had planned and it surprised me that I did it on the spot. I was extremely happy that I was nominated for Best Actress by AVN.

Betty Foxxx: My name is Beatriz, I was born in Valencia, Spain. I have two big sisters . My parents get divorced when I was born. I was an unexpected pregnancy. Kendra: That was my 3^rd AVN and at my first AVN, I was signing for a smaller company. Last year I didn’t sign but this year I signed for Adult Time so it was my first time signing for a major company.

CJ: How was the experience?

Kendra: It was crazy! Like I said, the first time I signed, no one knew me and this year, I had two time slots and both days, the line was never ending full of fans! That was cool!

From reading the forums on ADT, I knew that Siri was plotting a comeback. At the recent Adult Entertainment Expo, I was standing in line and I looked to my left and there she was! My family really hated that I was doing porn. I feel like a lot of performers don’t talk about it, that’s why I’m talking about it when people ask. Sure, I’ll give you an honest answer. The fact that no one talked about it made it harder for me. I felt like I was the only one going through it. In a nutshell, the big three reasons were personal relationship, family relationship and just, in general, depression setting in which was a combination of those two other things. To be honest, depression runs in my family. I’ve had family members on both sides that have dealt with that so mental illness can be hereditary. I’m predisposed to have that struggle and the stigma also of being in sex work didn’t make it easier. There were a bunch of factors and I didn’t have the coping mechanisms at all to really figure out what I needed to do. I just decided to blow it all up! Leave the industry and disappear! And that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t really tell anyone anything. I might have told two or three other performers that I was close to but everyone was surprised.

CJ: There were so many rumors going around but the one that stuck to me was some director called you fat and you got pissed off and left.

Siri: (laughs) That’s kind of an hilarious observation. To me, it’s funny because it’s so much the opposite of what I’m like. I’m not that easily offended so it’s funny that someone could speculate that it could happen that way. I understand why there would be that speculation because I was really defensive about it back then. And I still think it was for good reason. Now, Kim Kardashian and whoever else is around brought the concept of ‘thick’ being a thing. You’re not a very slender woman with big boobs or a teen look. You’re not a BBW but thick which is pretty close to the average body type. When I first started in 2012, I didn’t really see anybody that looked like me. Early, early Angela White, when she first started out, I thought that we were similar and I thought it was super cool when I finally got to shoot for her in 2013. But, early on, I didn’t see many people who reflected what I wanted to be in the industry. That’s why I fought so hard not to be pigeon-holed into a BBW niche. A lot of people tried to do that at first and I got mad about it a lot. I really fought it and it was a hard thing to fight because I was trying to toe the line of saying ‘No, I don’t want to be labeled as a BBW!’ It’s not that I have a problem with BBW’s as a label, not at all. I’m not judging anyone of any size. It’s just that I realize that BBW is a niche that is owned by these women who created it for themselves. I don’t fit that so I wanted to stay in my own lane! I don’t know how tactful I was but I would get a little annoyed. Nowadays, I don’t have to be as ‘on guard’ about it because there are so many performers in the years that I’ve been retired who have come out and been successful. And I’m super appreciative of that. It’s awesome.

CJ: You went back to school during your hiatus, what did you get your degree in?

Siri: My degree’s in Communications and Gender Studies.

CJ: You also mentioned your family in the AVN article. How are they taking your comeback?

Siri: They’re doing well. (laughs) They’re doing honestly well. I think a huge difference is the fact that I’m 31 now and, not only did I retire from porn for 5 years, I’ve been able to spend a lot of time hanging out with my parents over the last 5 years. They always knew me before, I always had a close-knit family, but it turned things on its head when I moved to LA and started doing porn. They were, ‘We don’t know who you are anymore!’ But now, we’ve had 5 years to figure out where everyone stands and so things are a lot better. And I had to “come out” again to my parents just in the past couple of months and their reactions aren’t overwhelmingly positive. They’re both disappointed because they hoped that I would have a “normal” job. That’s their wording, not mine. But, overall, it’s a pretty good place to be in. I still hang out with my mom. She doesn’t get it. My parents are boomers and my mom is kind of conservative and she tries to understand. She says, ‘I don’t know if I can get there….’ Because, in her mind, doing sex work is something that’s degrading. She’s having a hard time understanding how it could be empowering. I ask if I can send her links to SFW articles. I just need them to understand. I have personal friends who don’t understand why I want to do sex work. It’s a process of allowing a person room to process what’s going on and then they can understand that I’m the same person. Just because this is what I like to do and this is the job I have, it doesn’t make me a different person. And that’s the same way I treat it with my parents.

CJ: And why did you decide to return? The AVN article said money was the main motivating factor.

Siri: (laughs) That was a little bit of a paraphrase and I think there’s a little bit more nuance to it than what I was even saying at the time. I think the quote that was in that article was verbatim but I think there was a little more context around it. There wasn’t room in the article to fill it out. Essentially, going back to before I retired from porn. This is an aside but what I found interesting coming back is that it’s a lot easier with OnlyFans, Private Snapchat, etc., it’s a lot easier to have a sustainable, dependable monthly income that doesn’t depend on certain companies hiring you. It was getting to where it was on the horizon when I retired but it wasn’t there yet. I really depended on four boy/girl shoots in a month; that’s how I used to budget. Things are very different now. That being said, my income before I retired, I thought I was making so much money. But I was only 23 and had only part-time jobs as a college student. But, relatively, I look back and say, ‘No, you were not!’ I was making six figures but when you’re living in Los Angeles and supporting two people, it’s not. Like I said, my ex-husband was my assistant, he didn’t have his own full-time job. I was essentially supporting two people with one person’s income and living and renting in LA. I didn’t not make much money. Things are better now because performers have so much of the power now.

I will say I had a good chunk of savings when I retired and I put it into going back to school and renting a new apartment. Of course, reality sets in and I’m working civilian jobs that pay more than minimum wage but nothing I would consider a living wage. Especially considering when I went back to school, I still had to take out student loans. That’s what I was trying to get at in the AVN interview. I have the experience of being completely buried in student loans which is a very millennial thing to feel. (laughs) Most of my friends in my personal life, they have Master’s Degrees and they have 100K in student debt and they might never find a civilian job that actually enables them to live a life that they want and also pay off their debts. It’s a scary situation to be in. I don’t have a Master’s Degree or 100K student load debt but I have a third of that. I have $30,000 in student loans which I was really feeling the pressure of that over the past 5 years. And I loved the jobs I was working but I also felt that they were empty at the end of the day. I tried to decide what I really wanted. I want to help other people; I want to empower women; I want to create things that will cause people to have conversations that might be taboo or uncomfortable but they really need to have. And I figured out that those were things I actually had when I was in porn. That was a huge thing for me to realize. I think I was too young and inexperienced to realize it back then so I didn’t know how to make the most of it. It’s funny to me that I came full circle to what I was doing before. I think everyone has that period when you’re still really young and just out of high school and you’re very idealistic. You think that everything’s achievable and you can do anything you want. And that’s the state of mind I was in when I decided that I wanted to do adult films. And it just lined up for me that I had the ability and resources to move out to California when I wanted to. It was really because of the stigma and pressure from my family that I quit. But now that I’m older and I have better resources and I’m really happy that I’m home again. The same place I was before; a little older, a little smarter and definitely better prepared to navigate everything around me.

CJ: You have a little change up top! Tell me about that.

Siri: Yes! I had breast reduction surgery about a year and a half after I retired. It’s been 3 years now since the operation. This is way more contentious than it should be in my opinion. I have fans who are real mad about it. We started out the phone call with you saying that I look great and I thank you but one of the reasons, I think, is because I’m happy. And a huge part of why I’m so happy now is that I did something that I’ve always wanted to do since I was 15-years old; not have these enormous boobs that I had before. And I know that’s so disappointing to some of my fans but, also, I always follow up with, ‘If you’ve watched everything that I’ve done, or a large part of what I’ve done, and you’re really a big fan, I think if you’re being honest with yourself as a fan, you’re not a fan because I had giant boobs, you’re a fan of the whole Siri experience and that’s no different now.’ I say it’s even better now and more authentic because I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin than I did when I was 23 or 24.

CJ: What size are you now?

Siri: Pre-reduction surgery, depending on my weight, it was 32H or 32G and now I’m a 32DDD which is about 2 cup sizes smaller.

CJ: That’s still pretty damn big!

Siri: Yes, they’re still larger than average!

CJ: You also said you wanted to get breast reduction surgery since you were 15, how big were they back then?

Siri: They were already too big for my liking. I wasn’t an early bloomer at all. I remember being in early middle school, about 7^th or 8^th grade in 2001-02, I was a magazine-a-holic. I wanted to be a makeup artist at the time and I would buy every teen magazine and tear out the editorials that had makeup tips and looks and stuff. I saved them all and I had a huge stack of pages. I read so many teen magazines and it probably wasn’t super healthy because they were so image focused. I remember being 12-years old and seeing ads for “grow your bust”. I never bought one of those but I considered it because, at the time, I felt my boobs weren’t big enough. That’s sad because I was still a child but that’s the way it’s sold to women and girls. I felt insufficient and wished I had bigger boobs! My wish came true but it was more than even what I thought was reasonable. By the time I was a junior in high school, I found out that I couldn’t go to Victoria’s Secret with my friends. I couldn’t go and find any bras that would fit me. It was just clear that I had more up top than anyone I knew. I was also a tomboy and really wanted to play sports. It was around 8^th grade when I was running track and realized all the athletic girls had basically no boobs. Were they faster because they had smaller chests or what? The chicken or the egg. So I just wished I had more proportional boobs for my body size. So I was thrilled when I finally had the surgery. First of all, my insurance covered it entirely and I was surprised by that. To be honest, I wanted it enough, if I had saved up, I would have done it myself. That’s also why the surgery wasn’t super extreme. My surgeon explained it to me in a much more eloquent and concise way than I can explain it to you, but he said to retain all the feelings and the nerve endings in the nipples especially, you can only remove so much tissue from a breast during reduction surgery. He was also very determined that I retain the sensitivity and, I told him I was never going to have kids, but he wanted to leave all of the milk ducts and all that structure in tact so that I would never have to worry about breast feeding. Actually, my nipples are more sensitive now, since the surgery.

CJ: You shot your first (and only) anal scene right before your retirement. Are you going to continue to shoot anal?

Siri: Yes. Absolutely. I have one booked for the beginning of March with Bang.com. I’m definitely going to continue to do anal.

CJ: What about the more extreme double anal or double vag?

Siri: I haven’t done those things in my personal life. I think I could probably do double anal. (laughs) I’m just trying to think of the biggest things that I’ve fit into my own butt. Probably some of them would be about the equivalent of two average to medium size human penises. So I feel pretty confident I could do a double anal. But double vag is the harder one to imagine. The butt can stretch a whole lot but the vagina not so much.

CJ: For fans that are new to you, what are some of your favorite scenes that you could recommend?

Siri: That’s a good question. I’ll have to lead with a scene that is one of my personal favorites but it is a smash hit with fans. Every time I log into OnlyFans or Snapchat, it’s almost always the first thing they bring up. It’s a scene I did with New Sensations with Alec Knight called Having Sex With The In-Laws. CJ: Now that you’re back, there’s a whole new generation of performers to work with. Are there any performers or directors you would really love to work with?

Siri: So many! Absolutely. There are so many that I can’t list all of them. I would say all of the top performers currently. I’m just so excited to work with them. The current crop of performers that I got a chance to rub elbows with a couple of weeks ago at AVN. These are literally my people. I’m meeting women who have a similar mindset who have a similar approach to the way they’re shooting content. I want to say literally everyone but that’s my honest answer. I’m really excited about the state of the industry right now and there are too many people that I want to work with that I can’t even name them all. (laughs) But one director I really want to work with is Bree Mills. I got a chance to meet her at XBiz last month and I fangirled just a little bit. I love everything that she’s done. I don’t have any specific ideas yet but I really want to focus on creating content. Like writing scripts, I have so many ideas and I feel refreshed being away from it for so long.

CJ: What have you learned about yourself sexually since joining porn?

Siri: Even before I retired and the first anal scene I shot. I did do anal in my personal life but it was never my first pick. But that’s changed wildly over the last couple of years. I probably do butt stuff at least 50% of the time whenever I’m doing anything sexual in my personal life. That’s not just penis in butt anal but anal stimulation. That’s a huge thing for me. I also say but I’ve had some exploratory times since I retired with dating and relationships and it’s part of what led me back to wanting to get back into porn, is that I realize that I really don’t want to be monogamous. Part of me was committed to that before but in the back of my head, I wasn’t super sure that it was what I wanted. It’s just so not the cultural norm that it’s quite easy to convince yourself that what you want to do is what everyone else seems to be doing. Which is getting married and settling down, especially in your late 20s or early 30s. So I did have a couple of years thinking that is what I wanted but, with time, I’ve come to realize that I actually don’t want that. It doesn’t give me the freedom that I crave emotionally, personally or sexually. That’s a huge thing as well which only benefits me. (laughs) I’m super happy doing porn and want to be doing it.

CJ: What are you like off-camera? When you have free time, what do you do for fun?

Siri: Lately, I’ve been playing a little bit of video games. I’m not super into video games yet but I’m trying to get there. I’ve benn playing Life Is Strange on Play Station which has a cult following. This is the first time that I’ve ever mentioned it to anybody that I’m playing it because I’m terrified to mention it out loud and then have someone message me on Twitter and spoil it. That is one thing I have been doing. I also do a good amount of creative side projects. I’ve been reading. I’m in a book club with friends from childhood. We read a full book every month and then discuss it. Another huge, huge hobby—I almost forget to mention that it’s a hobby because it feels like a second job—is power lifting. I’ve gotten increasingly obsessed with over the past few years. A regular day for me is keeping up to date on all social media, doing some video editing, some other content management stuff, working on creative content then a 3-hour chunk of my day is going to the gym, doing my workout.

CJ: How much do you lift?

Siri: I bench press close to 140 pounds. Deadlift is 265 pounds. And my squats are bad but my goal is to increase it this year, but my max squat has been 210 pounds. I would love for it to be 250. I have very long legs so I’m not built to squat well. (laughs)

Jessa is a newer girl in the industry who I first met at the recent Adult Entertainment Expo. Her body drew me in but her eyes kept me there! LOL. Jessa is quite the woman and I had a chance to interview her after I got back home.

Captain Jack: Tell me about Jessa Rain.

Jessa: I’m from Atlanta, born and raised. I grew up with my mom, my dad passed away before I was born. My grandmother and my mom both raised me. I went to an arts high school and I did dance all my life from the age of 6 until now.

Jessa: I got signed to Connor’s agency in May.
